NSC Cookbook: Logan’s Chocolate Cream Cheese Braids
Ingredients
- Pepperidge farm puff pastry
- 8 oz. Cream Cheese
- 1/4 cup Sugar
- 1/2 tsp. Vanilla
- Chocolate chips
Directions
- Cut the Puff Pastry Sheet into 2 equal sheets
- Take 1 of the pieces and set to the side
- Take a generous amount of Cream Cheese mixture and place in the center of the puff pastry
- Add the chocolate chips on top of the mixture
- Cut diagonal slits into both sides of the pastry dough (I made 4 slits on 1 side and 5 on the other. The number will depend on how big your puff pastry piece is. Mine was on the smaller side)
- Begin by taking one of the slits and crossing it over to the other side of the pastry – over the cream cheese and chocolate
- Repeat by alternating each side until you have completed the braid
- Bake @ 400 for 15-20 min or until golden brown.
