This summer, Dreamers FC will return to Target USA CUP at the National Sports Center. The club’s first appearance at Target USA CUP was in 2017 when its U17 team, formerly the Lincoln Aztecs, took home the championship. According to Club President and Coach Ricardo Noyola, the club is ready to make a comeback and continue its success at USA CUP.
Dreamers FC was founded in 2015 with only one team. It’s vision was simple: to provide opportunities for kids in the community to play the sport they love. Dreamers FC quickly increased in size to over 14 teams with 250 players in Lincoln, Nebraska and surrounding communities.
60 players from Dreamers FC will be participating in this year’s tournament across the U12, U15, U16 and U19 age groups. All four teams that will be playing in USA CUP compete in Nebraska’s Premier Divisions. The players have been working hard to prepare for this tournament all season long and are ready to give it their all.
The club is most looking forward to playing among other impressive teams from all over the United States. Noyola explained, “We mostly play in the Midwest region, so we are excited to see competition from both the East and West Coast.”
Welcome back to Target USA CUP, Dreamers FC!
