The X Games kicked off in Minneapolis on Thursday, August 2 at U.S. Bank Stadium. Skateboard, BMX and Moto X athletes took on events including Pacifico BMX Vert and SoFi Moto X Step Up. Â
While athletes practiced on courses located inside U.S. Bank Stadium throughout the day, the SoFi Moto X Step Up event took place outside the stadium, and the Pacifico BMX Vert event took place at The Armory, a venue located just across the street.
SWMRS and Chevy Metal performed at The Armory following the day’s events.

- Brazilian athlete Leticia Bufoni qualifies third in Women’s Skateboard Street Elimination. Bufoni holds the women’s record for obtaining the most X Games skateboard medals, five of which are golds.

- Dutch athlete Candy Jacobs shows her skill on Thursday. While jacobs hasn’t received a gold medal at the X Games, she took 4th at both XG Austin 2016 and XG Norway 2018.
