What’s photographing the Minnesota Twins like? I attended Photography Night to find out

The Minnesota Twins put on Photography Night on Tuesday, August 20 at Target Field. The event was lead by Twins team photographer Brace Hemmelgarn and included an interactive tour of the facility and a Q&A session. As a participant, I also had the opportunity to photograph the Minnesota Twins as they took on the Chicago White Sox. 

Throughout the duration of the event, I noticed a variety of ages and experience levels among the participating photographers. But, even more importantly, I noticed a strong female presence among the group. Women in the sports content industry are underrepresented, so this was encouraging to see.

Photographing the Twins was exciting, and I would definitely recommend attending the event next year to anyone who is interested in sports photography.
