Velodrome community comes together for final Thursday Night Lights event
Cyclists and spectators came together on Thursday, August 29 to celebrate the final night of racing at the Velodrome on the National Sports Center campus. The Velodrome was built to host the 1990 Olympic Festival track racing events and National Championships and is the only outdoor wood-plank velodrome in the Western Hemisphere. This year marks the 30th and final season of track racing. Cyclists shared heartwarming stories about memories at the track while enjoying a final night of racing together.Â
