1. Photography
I grew immensely as a photographer over the summer. During the internship, I learned what lens to use for specific circumstances, how to get the best action shot, how to edit pictures on Lightroom, and much more. Photography was my favorite part of my job this summer, and I am excited to keep learning how to become a better photographer.
2. Videography
I was able to create lots of video content this summer. I’m not going to lie, this was the most challenging aspect for me at the beginning of the internship, but I quickly learned the ins and outs of Premiere. After awhile, shooting and editing videos became one of my favorite things to do at the NSC. Here are a few of my favorite video projects I worked on:
3. Social Media Marketing
I have had experience with social media marketing in the past, but the NSC gave me a new, unique perspective on social media marketing campaigns. From designing posts to raise registration numbers, to posts that thank our sponsors and volunteers, I was able to gain valuable insight on social media marketing campaigns from start to finish on a variety of platforms.
4. Graphic Design
With a little patience, a lot of Googling, and asking the amazing NSC marketing team an endless amount of questions, I slowly learned how to use Photoshop and Illustrator to make a lot of content that I am very proud of creating. I came up with ideas for food truck decals, designed posters, created content for our social channels, and more.
5. Data Analysis
I had the opportunity not only to create content but also to monitor content performance on NSC social channels. It was very interesting to learn more about social and Google analytics, along with how to tailor content to better suit the intended audience.
My summer as a Multimedia Content Intern was truly an incredible experience. I grew so much in a short period of time, and I was able to gain valuable experience in a variety of fields such as social media marketing, data analysis, photography, and more. Thank you to all of the NSC staff members who helped me along the way. This internship was an experience I will never forget, and I couldn’t be more thankful!
