We have reached the midpoint of our Target USA Cup week tournament. Group play games end today and the playoffs start early tomorrow morning. Competition was high with teams working hard to gain a better placement in the knock-out rounds of the tournament. Even so, we have a new group of teams, players, referees, staff, and fans that make this event happen. Meet our 2019 Faces at the Cup for Thursday, July 18, 2019.
Harry Waldo – Volunteer Field Manager
Harry is a veteran volunteer of Target USA Cup. Travelling from Eagan, Minnesota, Harry has been around for 28 years and has helped with gift packing and signing, and field managing. When Harry field manages, he loves to be on field 60 because of the quality of the game and the location to most of the tournament action. Harry keeps coming back to Target USA Cup because he gets to see his friends the travel around the world here every year.
Claudia Sinclair – Photography Intern
Claudia joins the staff of Target USA Cup from Blaine, Minnesota, where all the action has been located. While she is the youngest member of the media crew, Claudia has been a part of the team for two years now. Claudia is enjoying capturing all the action of the tournament and being able to build her portfolio of work for the future.
Rex Hutton – Member of NEW United Elite U13 Team
This is Rex’s first time at Target USA Cup and so far he has had a great time. Rex joins the tournament from Appleton, Wisconsin. He has enjoyed meeting all the teams and learning where they are from.
RBFC - Girls U19 Team
These girls are also first time guests from the Chicagoland suburbs of Illinois. They made a seven hour trip to be here. So far they are all enjoying the size of USA Cup and the variety of teams that come from all the world.
