Second annual Sokoberfest delivers best of the best: competition, beer, and food!

This weekend 40 adult teams gathered at Soktoberfest for some friendly competition and the chance to win a cash prize. With seven divisions and 500 participants ranging from 30 to over 60 years old, the tournament highlighted that soccer is a lifelong passion. As four intense matches played side-by-side in the National Sports Center Stadium, every direction revealed a love for the game and impressive teamwork. Between the diversity of competitors, a beer garden featuring local brew and food, and Oktoberfest activities like Hammerschlagen, the tournament only lacked one thing: a dull moment.

Each division champion received a cash prize. The winner of the Men’s Open division, DP Lerma, walked away with the $4,000 jackpot.
