Recently, I was doing some research about ways to stay busy during quarantine, and I came across live animal cams. I quickly entered a deep wormhole, jumping from video to video trying to find the best and most entertaining cam.
Who even knew this was a thing? Some of the videos are actually very informational or promote fundraisers and organizations. You can pretty much find a live stream of any animal out there. Want sharks? You got it. Hippos? Yep.
Here are some of my favorite live animal cams on YouTube:
Who doesn’t find gorillas fascinating?Â
…And African cats? When’s feeding time?
If you’re into birds, this bald eagle nest cam is pretty cool.
Another favorite of mine: wolves.Â
I really love this one because of the whale sounds. I think they’re very soothing.
The jellyfish cam is also really soothing. There’s something about the way they gracefully float through the water…
Not really into eagles? Try ospreys.
The panda cams are extremely popular.Â
Want more African animals? This pair of giraffes is super cute.
Behold, ultimate outdoorsman cam: bears, deer, boars, foxes, wolves and birds.
If you need a smile, these penguins are funny.
More cats! Yes! And if you watched Netflix’s Tiger King, this live cam streams directly from Carole Baskin’s Big Cat Rescue.
And finally, this peaceful tropical reef cam exhibits a rainbow of bright fish, fast sharks and various corals.Â
