Just one month before this year’s tournament, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz has officially proclaimed July 13, 2021 as USA CUP Soccer Day.
2021 Target USA CUP will be the event’s 36th installment, and although international teams and referees are unable to attend due to COVID-19 restrictions, USA CUP promises to be nothing less than memorable.
Teams from 17 states are attending this year’s tournament including Alaska, Arizona, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota, Utah, Ohio, South Dakota, Texas, Virginia, Wisconsin and Wyoming.
Target is also returning as USA CUP’s title sponsor and will have four activation sites on campus throughout the event. These sites include the Celebration Zone, Bullseye Zone, Little Legends and Target Hill and will be located on or next to fields 60, 8 South, 59 South and the hill next to the Victory Links Golf Course Clubhouse.
While the Soccer.com Super Store was located in Centerview Elementary School during the 2019 tournament, this year it will return to the Sports Expo Center. Pin trading, an awards stage, Minnesota United FIFA Gaming and additional booths will also be located in the Sports Expo Center.
Similarly, Tournament Headquarters has moved to the first level of the Welcome Center Building.
