OK, so your kids are home from school due to the coronavirus. You’re trying to focus on your own work, but the kids can’t seem to find enough to do.
We’re happy to help. Teach your kids how to make this fruity treat! The recipe is quick and simple, and still calls for some chocolaty fun.
Ingredients
4 medium bananas
6 oz chocolate chips
1 1/2 Tablespoons coconut oil
3 Tablespoons chopped
almonds, shredded coconut,
cereal or whatever topping
you choose
8 bamboo skewers or
popsicle sticks
Preparation
Line a small baking sheet with parchment
paper.
Peel bananas. Throw away peels and cut each
banana in half.
Insert a bamboo skewer or popsicle stick into
each banana half.
Place bananas on the baking sheet and freeze
for 1 hour or until bananas are frozen.
Melt the chocolate and coconut oil together,
using a microwave safe bowl.
Dip each frozen banana half into the melted
chocolate.
Before the chocolate hardens, sprinkle the
pops with the toppings of your choise.
Place the decorated bananas back on the
parchment lined baking sheet.
Enjoy the tasty treats right away, or keep any
leftover pops in the freezer for another time.
