Victory Links Golf Course Opening Soon!
Victory Links Golf Course at the National Sports Center will open for play on Friday, April 16, 2021. Additionally, the 18-hole putting course and grass driving range will be open to the public Monday, April 12, 2021. The 400-acre course is the site of the PGA Tour 3M Open qualifier and is Minnesota’s only PGA Tour designed course open to the public.
New carts and bunkers for the 2021 season!
The course remains in great shape and the final installments of the charging stations for the new EZ-Go golf carts are currently being made. Continuation of the full-course bunker project remains a top priority for us heading into the Minnesota golf season. The native prairie grass was trimmed this winter and the turf crew anticipates that new growth will begin to flourish with gold in the upcoming weeks.
It’s important to remember that good things take time and that the turf crew at Victory Links is working hard to condition the course to its best possible appearance before the opening date. The weather plays a huge part into the process, so keep wishing for sunshine and no rain!
“The course is in great condition and came through the winter looking amazing,” said Golf Professional Tom Kirkland. “We’re excited to see everybody back on the course, especially our high schoolers.”
15 leagues will be playing at VLGC throughout this summer. We are finishing up league scheduling and can’t wait to see members from our Augusta, Oakmont and Golf for Vets league back at the course!
