35 teams competed in the National Sports Center‘s first annual 3V3 Street Futbol soccer tournament on Saturday, August 17. The tournament is specifically designed to help players develop creativity and technical ball handling skills on turf.
In addition to games, players, parents and spectators enjoyed participating in Joga Bonito activities and jamming out to a DJ throughout the day.
Lucas Camargo, 3V3 Street Futbol tournament director, was inspired to create a tournament that reminded him of playing street soccer in Brazil: his home country.
Camargo definitely delivered something unique to the National Sports Center. The tournament was much more relaxed than other NSC events. Teams battled on the turf while the DJ blasted upbeat music. Players were able to try out new moves while also having fun with friends and facing some tough competition.
